For many of our guests, we know there’s something you love more than Kimpton. (We’re not offended.) You love this even more than travel, more than good design, more than getaways to the beach or to Europe or to far-flung adventures.

You love your pet.

This is why we’re thrilled to announce an exclusive partnership with Wag!, a mobile-first platform that provides pet parents with easy access to professional pet caregivers for pet boarding, sitting and walking.

You might be wondering, “Okay, is this a benefit for my pet if I bring them to Kimpton? What about the times I have to leave them at home when I travel?”

The answer is simple: our partnership with Wag! helps you either way.

Whether you leave your pet at home or bring your furry friend with you to Kimpton, Wag! gives you on-demand access to pet walking, “drop-ins” or even pet sitting & boarding to take great care of your favorite non-human.

Here’s how it works: Every time you stay at Kimpton, you’ll have access to a free month of Wag! Premium. This gives you a 10% off every Wag! service booked, waived booking fees and 24/7 access to advice from licensed veterinary professionals through the Wag! app. Just ask the front desk for your complimentary Wag! Premium subscription code and enter it in the “payments & promos” section of the Wag! app.

Here’s why this matters now more than ever. Pet travel has increased steadily for decades, and according to a 2020 survey, 45% of dog owners take their pup with them when they travel for at least two nights. The number of people traveling with pets has also climbed during COVID, as nearly 1 in 5 households adopted a pet during the pandemic. With the emergence of remote work, guests are used to spending more time with their pets, and so it’s not surprising that our guests are opting to bring their pets with them more than ever.

At Kimpton, we’ve always loved pets. Bill Kimpton himself would bring his dog, Chianti, to work because a) best friends and b) he knew that dogs lift people’s spirits. So we’ve always encouraged guests to bring their own Chiantis to Kimpton. Any size, any weight, any breed. If your pet can fit through the door, we welcome them in. We’ve long offered pet-friendly amenities like pet-bed loaners in guest rooms, water bowls, mats, courtesy bags and a concierge list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers and pet boutiques. Wag! is just another way we’re excited to show heartfelt care for the pet parents we know and love.
