Feeling Stressed or Anxious on the Road? Kimpton’s New Partnership with Talkspace Can Help

Travel Tips

We know this isn’t an easy time. The last two years have been hard for us all. The pandemic continues to test us, stretch us, and challenge us in ways both big and small. Our guests are facing more stress and anxiety than ever before and employees in the hospitality industry have been pushed to the limit. The pandemic (and frankly life’s everyday challenges) has taken a collective toll on our mental health and we want to start talking about it. We want you to know that you aren’t alone and it’s okay to not feel okay.

When The New York Times recently asked 1,320 therapists to share what they are hearing from their patients, they reported a striking rise in feelings of depression, anxiety, and tensions with family and relationships. 9 out of 10 therapists said that more clients are seeking care. It’s clear the need for mental health services is on the rise and many people are struggling to get access to the resources they need.

This is why we are proud to be partnering with Talkspace, a leading online behavioral healthcare company, to provide mental health services to our guests and 4,000 employees across the country.

Here’s how it works. Starting in February, Kimpton x Talkspace will offer up to 1,000 complimentary live video therapy sessions with licensed counselors to Kimpton guests. Our guests will also have access to $100 off the first month of any Talkspace plan through December 2022. And if you’re a Kimpton employee? You’ll receive a yearlong complimentary Talkspace subscription.

From the beginning, both physical and mental health have been important to us as a company, especially given our founder Bill Kimpton’s personal struggle with depression. To struggle is to be human, and our culture of heartfelt care has always been about a deep consideration for what people really need. Sometimes it’s just an extra pillow, but sometimes it’s a bit more complicated. For years, we have supported mental health initiatives through our longstanding partnership with The Trevor Project, which provides support services for LGBTQ+ youth.

We take our commitment to heartfelt hospitality seriously and we are proud that our Talkspace partnership gives us an opportunity to bring our Stay Human ethos to life while providing more mental health support for our people and our guests.

To receive one of the 1,000 complimentary video therapy sessions we’re giving away to celebrate this partnership, just email These are given out on a first come, first served basis. And, throughout the year, Kimpton guests can take advantage of Talkspace services and receive a $100 discount on their membership. Please visit and use discount code KIMPTON when purchasing a plan.

We all need someone to connect to and talk things through with. We hope that our partnership with Talkspace helps give our guests and employees easier access to that critical resource.
