Oh me, oh my! Did somebody really give you a Kimpton Gift Card? Aw, shucks. They shouldn’t have.
Okay, enough of the coy act. Yes, they absolutely should have! It’s the ideal birthday/graduation/thank-you/congratulations/just-because gift. And you have so many choices on how to spend it.
Here are just some of many ideas.*
1. Savoring salsiccia di agnello (grilled lamb sausages over sundried tomato polenta cake) at Panzano restaurant in Denver.
2. Noshing on handmade cannolis at Tulio restaurant in Seattle.
3. Splurging on a Water View One-Bedroom Suite for an overnight escape at EPIC Hotel in Miami.
4. Waking up to a breakfast of banana pecan waffles at Sable Kitchen & Bar in Chicago.
5. Kicking back in the speakeasy-style Bar Drake in San Francisco with a classic Rob Roy.
6. Shopping the huge selection of wines, cheeses, olives, chocolates, and more at The Butcher’s Block in Alexandria, Virginia.
7. Booking a room at Boston’s Onyx Hotel, where you can be a walk from Faneuil Hall, Freedom Trail, and other sights.
8. Sipping a full-bodied Sonoma pinot noir at 39 Degrees Lounge in Aspen.
Surely you’ve guessed that we could keep counting.

Have a Kimpton Hotel gift card – called to book a room at a Chicago Hotel and was told that there was nothing available for a gift card room this weekend!!?? I could easily have booked a room on line, but didn’t want to book with credit card – wanted to use my gift card – what gives??
Called and booked with another hotel using my Starwood Points – Kimpton gets a thumbs down!!
Hi, Becky — We hate thumbs down. Can you reach out to us at either Twitter@Kimptonhotels.com or Facebook@Kimptonhotels.com? Hopefully we can make it up to you.
My senior financial analyst is getting married and thought this would be a nice gift of $250 to enjoy on a Sunday night with his bulldog and bride.
Great idea, Lori! We’re definitely on board!
I searched online to buy a gift card for someone who loves Zuma in Miami. Turns out I missed the fine print that said that you cannot use the gift card at that particular restaurant. Very disappointed. I think that this should have been indicated in a more obvious place, or the site should have provided a complete list of hotels/restaurants in each city where the gift card should be used to avoid this kind of scenario from happening. Disappointed…
Hi Lois, that sounds frustrating. While Zuma is located inside Kimpton EPIC Hotel, it’s actually managed by a separate company. (Hopefully that’s not too confusing.) Please feel free to contact them directly at Info@ZumaRestaurant.us for help with the gift card.
I have a $300. gift card “KIMPTON and live in Vero, Fl. How and/or where can I use this. I have had this since last year for Mothers day. Tx
You can call the Kimpton Karma Customer Care Line, Cornelia. (888) 695-4678 They’ll be happy to help you.
Ever since the merger Kimton Hotels is no longer the premier hotel it once was. I no longer stay at Kimton Hoels for this reason. Besides noticing the lack of customer service try finding the balance you have remaining on a Kimton Gift Card. I just gave up and a year later tossed the Gift Card out promising never to return for many reasons. Once there’s a downturn in the economy I fully expect Kimpon will be one of the first to take a dirt nap.
This doesn’t sound good at all, Paul; we’re super bummed you feel this way. Mind shooting us an email with details? You can send it to LifeisSuite@kimptonhotels.com, thx!
I honestly believe Kimpton Hotel gift cards are a bait and switch SCAM! My daughter purchased a $500 gift card for me to stay at the Intercontinental Clement Monterey, CA. I went to the Kimpton Website and was directed to download the IHG App from the Apple Store. I proceeded to attempt to book our weekend and found no option to pay with the gift card. I spent an hour and a half being transferred to different people from reservations to the hotel front desk, only to be advised that Kimpton is a “sister” company and they do NOT accept Kimpton gift cards at their hotel. I am then advised that the nearest Kimpton Hotel that will accept my gift card is in San Francisco. This was a HUGE disappointment! My daughter went out of her way to give me a special gift. The website is very misleading and redirects you back to the IHG website. I will be contacting an attorney to see if I have any options regarding false advertisement! PUBLIC BE WARNED!
