Kimpton and Dress for Success - A Well-Suited Partnership
Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that assists economically-challenged women as they transition from unemployment to self-sufficiency. The process starts with the donation of one suit. DFS then follows up with ongoing support, skill-building and career development. Since its founding in 1996, Dress for Success has expanded to over 100 affiliates throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, the UK, and the West Indies.
Dress for Success offers the services of the Professional Women's Group (PWG) to clients who have entered the workforce, to help guide their progress and advancement. The idea is to give them every chance of success in their new jobs. PWG seminars provide a safe environment in which these women can develop their professional skills, learn how to network and enlist the support of other working women. Many Kimpton employees have benefited from the work of this exceptional organization.
