 KIMPTON GIVES BACK WITH SIXTH ANNUAL RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN

FROM COAST-TO-COAST

Guests Join the Fight Against HIV/AIDS With "Cocktails for a Cure"

and Themed Festivities at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., November 16, 2009 - Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is giving back to AIDS/HIV service organizations nationwide with "Cocktails for a Cure" at Kimpton Restaurants.  As part of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants' sixth brand-wide Red Ribbon Campaign, from now until World AIDS Day on December 1, 2009, diners can enjoy any of four Red Ribbon-themed cocktails hand-crafted by Kimpton's master mixologist Jacques Bezuidenhout and take part in fundraising events in November and December at Kimpton hotels throughout the country.

"Cocktails for a Cure" are $9 each and for each drink purchased, $1 will be donated to local AIDS/HIV charities nationwide. Themed spirits include:

o   Grapefruit Spritz: Ketel One Citroen, Campari and grapefruit juice sparked with club soda;

o   Bad Apple: Don Julio Blanco, Lillet, Angostura bitters, apple juice and ginger beer;

o   Orange Blossom Fizz: Belvedere Orange, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, pineapple juice and sparking wine;

o   Morning Daiquiri: Ten Cane Rum, Grand Marnier shaken with fresh lime juice and orange marmalade

"We are passionate about the fight against HIV and by offering these cocktails for the cause, we can make an impact in every Kimpton community," said Niki Leondakis, chief operating officer, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.

For more than 20 years, Kimpton has assisted HIV and AIDS service organizations across North America through employee volunteerism, educational campaigns, corporate donations, and raising funds through special events.  Kimpton's "Cocktails for a Cure" promotion is part of an annual Red Ribbon Campaign, which in 2008 raised more than $90,000 for local HIV charities.

Red Ribbon parties will be hosted at Kimpton hotels in Aspen, CO, Dallas, TX, Philadelphia, PA, Salt Lake City, UT, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA and Washington, DC.  For a complete list of events, visit http://www.kimptonhotels.com/programs/red-ribbon.aspx.

As chief consultant for Kimpton's brand-wide beverage program, Jacques Bezuidenhout oversees the company's individual and national spirits menus at all of Kimpton's restaurants and bars nationwide and creates uniquely themed "Cocktails for a Cure" each year as part of this annual campaign.

Contributions from "Cocktails for a Cure" will benefit charities across the country including: AIDSCare (Chicago); AIDS Housing Corporation (Boston); AIDS Project (Los Angeles); AIDS Walk (San Diego); Cascade AIDS Project (Portland); Colorado AIDS Project (Denver); Design Industries Foundation fighting AIDS (Dallas); Gay Mens Health Crisis (New York City); Hero For Children (Atlanta); Lifelong AIDS Alliance (Seattle); MANNA (Philadelphia); Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry (Falls Church); Phoenix Children's Hospital; The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation (San Francisco); Utah AIDS Foundation (Salt Lake City); and Whitman-Walker Clinic (Washington DC).
